If a girl has been fingered a lot and bled a bit the first time that happened, will there still be blood when she actually loses her virginity?

I’d say probably not. It sounds as if she/you may have had her/your hymen break the first time she/you were fingered. (Let’s just say you. It’s more personal.) I wasn’t there for the initial bleeding, but you probably bled because your cherry was popped, or perhaps you were scratched inside by accident. But you don’t mention pain, and that seems unlikely. There could be blood the first time you have sexual intercourse, but it’s my best guess that you’ve already gotten that out of the way.

Totes normal. Yes, most porn is geared toward guys, but that doesn’t mean girls can’t enjoy it as well. No! It is NOT true that you can’t get pregnant on your period! It may be less likely, but it is not entirely out of the question. Use your preferred type of birth control during your period, and the rest of the time, too.

Follow up question for the herpes post. My friend has herpes and a current outbreak. I borrowed her tights and wore them. Can I have gotten herpes that way?

Highly unlikely. The herpes virus is passed through skin-to-skin contact, and not through inanimate objects like clothes, towels, soap, or toilets.

Period Sex: Don’t Forget to Bring a Towel!

Dear Lucy, I was planning a romantic weekend with my man when my period showed up. I’ve heard good things about sex on your period, but I’m still a little concerned about how it would be for both of us. Have you had sex when Aunt Flo was in town? Any advice?

Of course I have had sex while on my period; it happens for about ¼ of the days of my adult life, and I’m not about to pass up on some hot lovin for a whole week every month!

The only real piece of advice you need for sex on your period is this: fuck on a towel. If you don’t already own one, obtain yourself a dark-colored towel (black, red, brown, navy blue) and keep it around for menstrual time. It’s totally OK to bang while on your period, it’s really just a matter of your personal preferences, and those of your partner.

I don’t think I’ve ever hooked up with a guy who was super grossed out by period sex. I mean, if he’s gonna freak out and be a whiney baby about the natural bodily processes of women, he’s probably not worth your time.

Peen/vag intercourse while on your period can actually be way fun. The blood is a super slippery natural lubricant, and to easy clean up off your skin. Orgasms relieve the pain of menstrual cramps, too, so sex may actually help your period! Of course, you, the lady, may have different things happening on the different days of your period. If your cramps are too bad and you don’t feel like fucking, it may be a better idea to masturbate, have your partner finger you, or use your vibrator. Your blood flow varies too; some days are heavier than others, and you may feel that you want to abstain during the super plus days, just to avoid a huge sticky mess.

Oral sex is a bit of a different story. Generally, my sexual partners have not been eager to go down on me during my period. I understand this: it’s one thing to have blood all over your hands and your penis, but it’s another to taste it. I don’t particularly enjoy sucking dick after we’ve been having period sex, without a thorough rinse first. But, amazing boyfriend that he is, Lance says he has no problem with going down on me while I’m on my period, so go figure. Some guys/gals dig it, and that is A-OK with me!

In summary, Aunt Flo’s visit should not inhibit all or any activity in the bedroom. Unless it’s your real aunt and she’s snoring in the next room in a very unsexy way.
